Here’s to our first blog post, and a set-up website! As you can see, it’s very basic- I’m no web developer, and this is only my second go at creating one. But, for now, for the moment, it will serve!
Welcome to the House of the Dragon, whoever you are, wherever you are, whenever you may read this. I hope these words find you well, and you enjoy your stay here.
The very first chapter is uploaded, and now… and now I have a lot, a lot of writing ahead of me- so you have a lot of reading to look forward to! Whether blog posts will be a regular thing, I don’t know at this point. Our story chapters will be released every Friday to start out with- first, to our patrons on Patreon, the week after here on this website, and the week after that on the AO3.
Not that we have any patrons at this point, of course, but… start as you mean to go on, or something. And for those concerned about the future of this project- no, it isn’t finished. I don’t know when it will be finished- it may well be the work of a lifetime! But as of this moment, we have 17 weeks’ worth of material ready to go. We aim for a chapter length of around 2000 to 4000 words, which is around 5 or so pages- computer pages, not print book pages.
Plans for the future include an email newsletter for people to subscribe to – also a first for me, so it might take me a week or two to figure out how to set it all up – and, if there’s interest, ebooks for purchase at your retailer of choice. If Devan or I get back into any art-ing, maybe an image gallery here.
We’ll see how this develops! Off we go!
