When he gets back a little before tea time as promised, he feels… more at ease. More peaceful. Like the fresh air blew some cobwebs out of his brain. He puts Hannibal away, humming tunelessly as he enjoys brushing his horse- his horse- and feeding him treats, and making sure he’s comfortable and cosy in his stall, that everything is put away where it belongs. He knows how to take care of a horse’s tack now, too, he realizes with pleasure. Inside, the castle is pleasantly warm, and he’s just in time for tea and cake.

“I, um, I think it’s that he really can’t stand the idea of you forcing yourself to do something you don’t want to…”

It’s some hours before Quincy’s voice drifts ahead of him, clearly in a good mood. A moment later, he appears through the door, waving with his free hand, the other once more holding Radu’s, who is clearly back to himself, no more wolf eyes or ears, but instead is… blushing? Arthur blinks, because he wasn’t sure vampires could blush, but Radu’s cheeks are definitely pink, and his eyes flick to the side when he spots Arthur. He looks definitely embarrassed, even Arthur can tell, and it takes Quincy pulling on his hand for him to come closer.
